Mission
GrantMetric is an independent federal grant intelligence platform that tracks, aggregates, and contextualizes active funding opportunities from across the U.S. federal government. Our goal is simple: make the federal grant landscape navigable for nonprofits, small businesses, researchers, local governments, and individuals who lack the resources to monitor it on their own.
Who We Serve
GrantMetric serves nonprofit organizations researching federal funding for their programs; small businesses and startups exploring SBIR/STTR and sector-specific opportunities; researchers and universities tracking NIH, NSF, and DOE funding cycles; local governments and community organizations seeking USDA, HUD, and EDA grants; and grant writers who need a fast, structured view of the current landscape.
Data Sources
All live grant data on GrantMetric is sourced directly from Grants.gov, the official U.S. government grant portal maintained by HHS, and SAM.gov, the System for Award Management operated by GSA. We query the official Grants.gov API in real time and do not alter the underlying opportunity data.
Our Insights articles are researched from official agency websites (HRSA, USDA, NIH, NSF, SBA, HUD, DOE, DOD), the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), OMB Uniform Guidance (2 CFR Part 200), and publicly available federal budget documents. All program details β funding amounts, eligibility, deadlines β are cross-referenced against official agency sources.
Editorial Standards
Every Insights article is reviewed for accuracy before publication. We include specific dollar amounts, program names, CFDA/ALN numbers, and agency references wherever possible so readers can verify information directly with the source agency. When funding levels are subject to annual appropriations or agency discretion, we note this explicitly.
Federal grant programs change frequently. Articles are updated when major program changes occur β new appropriations, revised eligibility rules, or program discontinuation. The publication and modification dates shown on each article reflect the most recent editorial review.
Technical Infrastructure
GrantMetric runs on a serverless edge architecture with multi-layer caching (in-process + Cloudflare KV). This ensures that grant data is always fresh while keeping response times fast. An AI-assisted layer generates plain-language briefings for active grant opportunities, helping users quickly understand what a grant funds and who it's for.
Editorial Team
GrantMetric's editorial output is produced by a team of federal grant research specialists. Each Insights article passes through three roles before publication:
Corrections Policy
When a factual error is identified β whether by our team or a reader β we correct it promptly and update the article's modification date. Significant corrections are noted at the top of the affected article. Federal grant programs change frequently with each appropriations cycle; articles are reviewed and updated when new funding amounts are enacted, eligibility rules change, or programs are discontinued. To report an inaccuracy, contact dev@grantmetric.com.
Independence Notice: GrantMetric is an independent data analysis platform. We are not affiliated with any federal government agency, and we do not submit grant applications, provide grant writing services, or guarantee funding outcomes. Grant availability, amounts, and eligibility requirements are determined solely by the funding agency and are subject to change.
